Exclamation Special Comment on the Fear Card

Keith calls out the GOP for their walk out today, and Bush for caring more about telecom immunity than actually protecting Americans against terrorism.

    Easy solution

For all the worry warts who believe your civil liberties are violated, yet can't prove it or give one example, there is a simple solution.
Cut all communications entering or leaving the US. That way we know that all communications will be contained within our borders.
    Nothing in-Nothing out.

The President and vice President....both have said....that the telecoms....gave them information....and there was no warrant.

You don't find uncoerced admissions of guilt to be even better than an "example"?
    But your being a dick

I am not joking or insulting you in any way by saying this:
If you truly believe what you are stating,
I honestly feel pity for you
if your mind is so rigid that you can not see
the obvious in-your-face intrusion by the government
and the fascist-like consolodation of Executive power

LHardy, other nations have spied on their citizens (important and peons),

    What specific thing(s)
    exempts the United States government
    from spying on its citizens,
taking away most of our freedom to dissent
    and
    ruling by fear and paranoia?

The retraoactive immunity proposed by the Bush admn for the telecommunications companies?

A mainstream media fully controlled by the government?

    The satellite tracking, huge data-mining,
    ground surveillance cameras,
the unprecedented techonolgy which has made it VERY EASY for our government to keep an eye on anyone who disagrees with them?

This is no longer a true Democracy

"Big brother is watching" has become an ugly reality
    in the United States

    LHardy,

    Please go to [url]www.ProjectUncensored.com
    and
    do some "light reading"
on the loss of many of our civil liberties
ALL articles are fully backed by FACTS, citations
Nothing on the site is "conspiritorial"

If you wish to continue believing what the media tells you is true, fine.
    But first,
just read up on some major stories that never made the mainstream news
Because these stories would have made Americans THINK and get P-D off.
Can't have THAT in a free society, now can we?
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.

Denial, not just a river in Egypt.
One beautiful thing about having a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations is that every disaster is measured in terms of economic loss. It's sort of like getting your arm sheared off in a car accident and thinking, "Damn, now it'll take longer to fold the laundry" as blood spurts from your arteries. - The Rude Pundit
