    Trade predictons before Tuesday 3pm

These can include the actual and realitistic to the whimisical fantasy(at least for real players).

I'd like to see Olli Jokinen here. Or Hossa. Jokinen doesn't have playoff experience, but has leadership skills and is a good solid player (Finnish Olympic team).
Campbell gone. Flyers, Caps, SJ, and Panthers looking for defense.
I'm thinking some kind of 3-way trade.

I think Campbell and Kotalik are gonners. West Coast loans.
They'll sign in the off season with other clubs.

We'll get some 6th defenseman and some 3rd line unproven player as well as some 3rd round picks.
All in all, we'll all hate the trade and complain endlessly. It's the Buffalo way.

What I want in return is a 2nd line forward that can check and fight. If not that, then a defenseman that can check, fight, and lead.

Buffalo is too soft to handle any of the playoff teams ahead of us. I am not advocating that we become nothing but bruisers, but Mair and Gaustad can't be counted on to supply all of the protection, and Peters is an absolute joke as an enforcer since he quit the "andro".

Kotalik is not and has not been a point a game player. Hossa is. And he doesn't seem to be afraid to get his nose dirty.
This should probably be filed under the "whimsical" but it could work

Miller will be traded so they don't have to worry about us screaming next year when they lose him.

Wow, A discussion that that we can all talk about have different and respectful views on. I like it. I also like the ideas that people are suggesting. Although I think they will keep Miller here.

It's tough to say...although Brooks Orpik is a UFA and making less then Campbell and is a local boy....If i remember correctly, perhaps a three way with Pittsburg.

I looked at Orpik! And also Bouwmeester. Not much on points, but he's a real ice hog, like Shizzie used to be. But younger and a bit more uh... non-log like

Brooks is a decent checker as well. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
I'd also take an "aging" Jovanowski if he had a year or two on his contract in an even swap for Campbell.

Buffalo is missing the "Gary Roberts" (leader, fighter, hitter). He's obviously too old now, and hurt, but he brought a decent amount of the 3 mentioned traits without being great at any of them.

Depending on how we play tonight my ideas may change dramatically! If we win, I want Kotalik and Pominville to be traded for a "young 2nd line power forward" and Kalinin and another serviceable player to go for a bruising defenseman.

You also forgot that Roberts had a scoring touch too. But he's definately the the other three. You can't get that in a trade, Give Kaleta 4 years and he'll be that. He's got the htting and fighting and the scoring touch...as for a Leader, he has to be around longer up here.

Kotalik could be moved for a very young 2nd line power forward. As for Pominville, he would become our next Ray Sheppard if we let him go. Kalinin has to b shipped to a team that has a quality respected blue liner otherwise his value is worth nil....he has no condifidence in himself if he has no confidence in the blue line partner. If you can find a team he can partner up with a guy, you've got yourself a trade.
