I doubt there'd be a real revolt.
A bunch of people would be outspoken about it, most most will just whine and gripe to anyone that wants to listen, and at the end of the day, turn tail and let it happen.
Although your response to this is right, politicians also have to keep community morale at some level...
Losing the Bills would probably cause what I think we should have been doing all along...
A real revolt.
It's unfortunate that we can't do that without losing the Bills---but in this area it seems like something tangible has to happen before people wake up.

Let me articulate this for you:
"I'm not locked in here with them. They're locked in here with me!!"

The best times I can remember, many of them were in that stadium.
It's a unique experience, going to a Bills game.
It was more unique when they were going to superbowls, but still....

County executive Collins and Mayor Brown are also asking for a meeting with the NFL commisioner to discuss keeping the Bills in WNY:

Collins, Brown seek meeting with NFL commissioner

Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown and Erie County Executive Chris Collins are requesting a meeting with National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell.
In a letter dated Wednesday, Brown and Collins stated that they were writing Goodell “to express [their] strong support and commitment to ensuring the long-term future of the Buffalo Bills in Western New York.”
They pointed out the historical and social significance of the football franchise to the area as well as its benefit to the Western New York economy.
The leaders thanked Goodell for his recent meeting with Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo.
“We feel it is also important that you be afforded the opportunity to discuss these issues with our region’s local representatives as well,” the letter stated.
Can someone own a hockey team and football team at the same time? If not, looks like the Bills will be singing O'Canada at the start of each game.
Can't wait for Ralph to demand that future Bills' playoff games(lol, it could happen!) all be played in Toronto. It would be solely for generating revenue to keep the Bills a viable product in WNY the following year(s).
That's all we need. I fear they would want to play the AFC championship in TOR given the dome. However, since they only signed an agreement for 8 games (5 real season games and 3 preseason) maybe they can't have any more than that there for the next 5 yearsOriginally Posted by DR_GONZO
Tell me Erkle doesn't really believe he has any "real" power. What a joke, can't get rid of the control board with Spitzer, but he actually thinks he can keep the Bills by talking to Ralph Wilson.Originally Posted by bornandraised

The Illich family in detroit own both they Red Wings and the Tigers. I don't see why football would be any different.Originally Posted by boomeriam
