    Any Italians?

Hey all, how's it going? Are there any Italians in this forum? I've lived on the East Coast a long time but have always had to go to Italian sites to get my daily dose of culture. I speak it and everything, but I find it hard to keep up with everything.. Anyway, is anyone a fan of Zucchero? My parents used to play him all the time, he's an all time legend in Italy.. Doin some research, I also found out he's made music with Miles Davis and Sting.. even Sheryl Crow... He's coming out with a CD... with some "best of" songs.. Like Un Kilo that came out a few summers ago... Has anyone heard about it? I heard its really good... Here's un kilo...http://verve.edgeboss.net/wmedia/ver...io/un_kilo.wax

This is about the funniest thread title I've seen in a while.

I would say something else, but I don't want cement shoes right now.

Welcome, Francesca! I'm half Italian. The other half is Polish -- an ethnic combo that is probably rather rare outside of WNY but common here because the large numbers of Poles and Italians who immigrated to this area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Unfortunately, my Italian is limited to ciao, arrividerci, provolone, buon natale, paesan, etc. since my father was very Americanized and never spoke it after my grandparents died. I keep hoping that the local college here in Jamestown would offer Italian, but they don't ...

I thought one of the best ways to get in a fight is to tell a Sicilian that they're really just an Italian?

The Sicilians are considered the criminals in Italian folklore---Thats where Italy sent all the criminals, so they say..They also say that Sicilians are mixed with black because of the Moors invasion of the island.
    Peace Out Funky
