Lake Effect Snow Watch will be in effect from Saturday afternoon until late Sunday evening for Southern Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties.
An arctic cold front is expected to cross Western New York Saturday morning, with lake effect snow bands setting up late Saturday and continuing through Sunday night.

I say let it snow!! We are behind in our quota for snow. I don't mind the cold as long as there is snow. I agree that since they warned us about heavy snow we won't get much.

Ok, I just looked outside. It is coming down pretty good. But this is Buffalo in January. Of course it's going to snow.
I can't wait to go out and play in a little while. I instantly revert back to being 8 years old whenever I go out to snowblow. Snowball fights are fun.
The last time we had snow, I had a neighbor a couple houses down from me who snowblowed my driveway, without me asking him. I guess he does a couple of houses after he is done with his own. Now i'm spoiled. concidering my snowblower isn't up and running this year. I'm wondering if my driveway will be done when I get home from work today.
Please, please, please be done......
I remember many a winter as a youth around here when November snows would only start melting in late March.
I like the winters we're having lately, dry and relatively temperate.
