Buffalo Pizza Place Owner Fights Back
(Buffalo, NY, January 16, 2008) - - The owner of a Buffalo pizza place says he fought back when he was held up this week.
Rudy "Bocce" of Bocce's Pizza says two men tried to rob him at gunpoint at his Clinton Street restaurant Monday night.
He says it's the same two men who tried to hold him up two weeks ago.
Rudy pulled out his gun and fired one shot, hitting the Plexiglas.
question for ya,funky....do you know anything about bocce pizza and that location in particular??...
I haven't had a pizza fro there in twenty years. Is it still good. At one time they were the best. Now I like Imperial.
"If you want to know what God thinks of money just look at the people he gave it to."
By the way, what happened to biker? I miss the old coot.
Rudy (the 78 year old guy in the article) STILL makes the best pizza in all of WNY. I go there for pizza every now and then.
I am so omniscient - if there were to be two omnisciences, I would be both.
no, why?Originally Posted by bigpoppapuff
still the best in my opinion......one of the oldest in buffalo....when they opened it was in an all white area adjacent to downtown....the area changed...in the late 60's during the era of extreme racial tension it stayed open but was bunkered up for protection....the perps were black....rudy is white.....you allright with that,funky??....
i go to the bocce out by UB on N. Bailey. Maybe I will go back this weekend

How about the Golden Key Pizzeria--which was in the back of the Golden Key Tavern on Connecticut St? The best!!! You'd have to walk down an alley and through a side door to pick up the pizza--No Delivery!Originally Posted by bigpoppapuff

I haven't been there in 15 years, but I used to like the green olives and cheese with a beer.Originally Posted by bigpoppapuff

I was very young at the time---I remember my mother or father driving there and me running out throught the alley to pick up the pizza. It has to be at least 20-25 years ago.Originally Posted by bigpoppapuff
