    Crisis in Amherst

Amherst the envy of WNY is about to become the laughing stock of WNY.Remember Satish said it was "MY Town" and with Schratz's inflated ego, Rember Shelly stating she wanted to get rid of all the Deputy's - before she became Deputy of course. Rember her RFP requests for Pepsi Center. Screaming about not posting openings for committees in Amherst Bee and appointing *itch Colleen Bogdan. The woman is out of control. Satish you only need 6 chairs for board meetings with Shelly on your lap.Its got to kill your lap.Watch the Satish -Shelly show . Two failures in life out to destroy everyone in there way. What a shame.

Yessssss! dragonslayer made it through an entire post/rant without using the phrase "political operative". Good show, young man! heh.

Anyhow, yeah Shelly is quite a character. But I dunno that she's effective enough to actually destroy anything. Her efforts usually fall flat... which, I s'pose, is goodness for the rest of us.

    i think so

This thread could be coupled with biggest ego.

    Toxic

As toxic as subprime loans in California. Fortunately a great place to live.

come on Zanna - you know the basic info...

clarence = higher priced homes, lower taxes

Amherst/Williamsville = lower priced homes higher taxes

What is better for me may not be better for your client, I would ask them and see what they say.......

    Thumbs up tax package deal

Thanks, but that's not what I am looking for. I know the basics. I'm looking for recreational, youth and senior services. Where's the best deal?
It's not just about taxes; it's about what comes in a package.

Effects on recreational, youth and senior services are unknown with the current political people in place. If it had been a few years ago, I would have said Amherst over Clarence. Now the money is moving to Clarence so who knows in the long term. Taxes aside, I believe it costs more to live in Clarence. That being said, it has less traffic.

    Thumbs up

amherst and Clarence have youth centers and senior centers. My understanding is that the Pepsi Center is part of the Recreation Department. What other activities are offered for residents? Am I mistaken?

Zanna, try these sites for starters:
    Town of Clarence
    Clarence Youth Bureau, Senior Center
    Town of Amherst
    Amherst Youth Foundation, Senior Center
    Clarence Chamber
    Amherst Chamber
---and one of my favorite sites for all kinds of data on any area in WNY, the Regional Knowledge Network of UB's Regional Institute
    Udachi!

I would say Clarence is perhaps the best choice. I live in Amherst and the taxes are higher than Clarence but given that Clarence is close to Amherst, you can get the best of both worlds.

Stay away from the Village, even higher taxes than Amherst and again you can easily get there from Clarence.
