So how much did the TS cost the taxpayers this time?

Yesterday in the "News" there appeared an article to the challenges made by the TS in regard to "his only" power to bring certain employee vacancy positions up for a vote to be filled. This includes several major departments within the town. In fact a couple of TB meetings ago he ruled a dept. head out of order for he or she placed a resolution on the agenda for they were frustrated by the TS actions. After several hearings at different levels of our legal system, it appears he has exhausted all avenues in which to challenge the original decision that he alone does not have the power in the hiring process. This is only one example of his truly dictatorship way that he tries to run town government. As the police union head stated, how much money did it cost the taxpayers to fight for his position on exclusivity in the hiring process? We are talking several individual hearings with the town hiring outside council.

First of all Happy thanksgiving to everyone! Today I read in the "News" that the younger version of our TS is raising his salary to over $82,000. If memory serves me right, that makes his salary around $7,000 more than our TS. That being said, I remember recently at a TB meeting our TS stated that to serve the community is not about the money but the service. My feeling is that with such a low salary for this most important full time position, the salary is kept low by the last two TS. for they were well served by other $$$. To raise the salary to something more in keeping with the position, this community may see a better pool of individuals that would run for this office thus providing a better service to the community. As far as the Hamburg Supervisor, he talks about cutting costs including his own employees salaries & benefits, but finds it proper to raise his (how typical).
