I do not object to anonymity on the Inter-net for those who merely banter or joke.
However, I do not lightly tolerate those who attack others behind a cowardly "mask". That is comparable to a mental patient sniping with a rifle at those below from a treetop or a bell tower.
If somebody labels another human being as "POS" . . .
or attacks me as "non-entity" . . .
or dismisses all legislators & community leaders as "morons"
or calls a 68 year old man "dickie',
without revealing their names, they are simply immature cowards.
Or they lack the "content of character" by which a great man advised that we evaluate human worth.
How can anybody conclude they have character if they attack others anonymous?
I take little that such anonymous attackers say seriously . . . except to lament that WNY has apparently sunk so low that such rude & irresponsible behavior is apparently OK for the world to read on the Inter-net.

i should be allowed an opinion of said person as a non-entity...at least nobody ever tried to run him over....
That's what happens on a message board. That's the way it is. I suppose one either learns to live with the concept for better or for worse...or simply chooses not to participate. Seems pretty straight forward to me.Originally Posted by kernwatch

Besides, why would it be OK for someone to say "My name is ___ _____, and I think you're a POS/non-entity/dickie? Why would that be OK? Because it would give you a shot at retaliation??
Mr. Kern, the bottom line is that this is the way message boards operate, be it right or wrong. The way I see it, if you don't like it, you have two options:
1) Leave
2) Start your own MB, with your own rules.
By the way - while I surely have respect for my elders, I do wish you would stop throwing your age into the mix. 68 is not all that old.

What? Are you serious? I thought Minneapolis was a pinko prissy state. Tell me about the people in Minneapolis and how they compare to NY, Boston, and Philidelphia.Originally Posted by joe d.

I can now understand how Julia Roberts feels being not only beautiful but well known can sometimes be a pain!

a post(s?); but it is not your username and i believe that is his point...looking for your name in posts is like looking for a needle in a hay stack with a weak magnet; on a different note is it my post that your name is?Originally Posted by bigpoppapuff

i don't assail people about it unless they say that they do use their name and are vague about it.
