I agree 100%. THe people that get elected do not work for you or me. At one point in our history they did, but that stopped a long time ago.

You speak in absolutes with the polling, yet I have not been privy to a polls that say 80% of the country wants us out of Iraq. The opposite is not true either. The truth of the matter is that it varies from 40 to 60 % depending on the sping of the media. One other thing, I can manipulate the same data to same the complete opposite.

I agree with you. I have never been called in my life to voice my opinion on the war against the terrorists. I think the figures given in the politically biased polls are a figment of the imagination of the people who are opposed to the idea that we should defend our country from the threats from abroad and from the threats from within.

The only way I can voice my opinion is by voting and I will vote.

You are correct. Our voice is through the ballot box. I don't care what you politics are, if your conservative, liberal, or libertarian, just make sure you are informed about the items on the ballot.
That is a very special rite that we have in this country.
