I made a lot of money and spent most of it on booze, fast cars and loose women. I blew the rest.

Yes.
I can prove it. Listen. I'm all about science. I have to see it to believe it. Don't waste my time with ghost stories or tarot cards. Keep your out of focus pictures of alien craft and astrology. It's all your imagination unless it's proven otherwise.
As for God. I've seen way too much circumstantial evidence all pointing to the same conclusion. Loads and loads of it. All of which science cannot even begin to explain. You know you're more than just a collection of elements of the periodic table. Science has theories on space. That's how we know they're wrong. Science can explain or at least attempt to explain nearly everything.
It has no explanation for your soul. It cannot attempt to explain it. We know it's there, though. It can't explain art. We know the right way is the only way. Can a collection of elements feel the way you do if it were merely a collection of elements? The existance of God makes perfect sense and answers everything. The rest is details of no consequence.

What's a "God"? Do they taste good? Are they heavy? Do they smell like pumpernickel?Do you believe in God?
The difference between taxes and robbery is the mode of coercion.
Yeah, I hear ya, I never went in for that sort of thing. Seems that the times have changed somewhat from days of yore...living in the highest taxed state in the country and with the high cost of educating kids etc., who can afford taking 10% GROSS PAY and giving it to the church?Originally Posted by CarlNads
