    Buffalo at bottom for blogging

Bloggers are few and far between in Buffalo, says Scarborough Research.

The New York City-based market research firm says only 2 percent of people in the area read or contribute to blogs, tying Buffalo for last with Pittsburgh.

The average among the 81 top-tier cities rated in the survey was 8 percent with Austin, Texas leading the way at 15 percent.

Most Buffalonians would rather GOSSIP than Blog

Political & social opinions usually fly out of mindless mouths in bars and resturants in the "Nickel City."
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.

Is the lack of bloggers a BAD thing????

Seems to me the only people who read blogs are, well, the bloggers themselves. And let's face it, blogs have no social value whatsoever. They're just electronic biased, ranting op-ed pages.

Having few bloggers tells me Buffalonians are out actually living life instead of typing drivel in cyberspace.

THANK YOU!!!!! I KIND OF SAID THE SAME THING TO OUR HOST HERE AT SPEAKUPWNY. Having someone else say it takes the burdon off my shoulder for a bit.

What I find disturbing is the lack of references to the topic within the blog. I mean if I were a physicist and was talking about done with Anti Matter and you put up a blog talking about the same thing, I would want credit mentioned on your blog for what I did. You do not see credits given for anything talked about in blogging. We truly have so many inventive intelligent bloggers out there yet our world is riddled with problems. I do not get it. Or may be I do get it - copyrights do not apply to blogging

It is not!!! Didn't you ever do a paper for school???? Biography page did stand for something... Oh I get it... we could just point to other blog for the source of information... Round and round the BLOG goes where it stops no one one knows. When you start to see double images you know you are in trouble.

Blogging is a fad and down the road you will see it fade away like hoola hoops.

Linking to sites is the standard of citing sources on the internet. It is the bibliography of the future. For example, in this blog post, The Washington Post and Think Progess were cited (aka given credit).
