Last I heard the final report is supposed to be done late 06 or early 07 then planning and design of the bridge follows with the start of construction in late 07 early 08

Yes we do. Truck traffic alone over the bridge is expected to triple and that is excluding passenger traffic as Southern Ontario is increasing its population by roughly 250,000+ people a year.
The increase in population is going to translate to more passenger crossings over the bridge as well as more cross border investment and commerce to stimulate our economy. Look at the hotels and towers planned for Niagara Falls Ontario. Its only a matter of time before a booming Niagara Falls Ontario spills into Fort Erie and Buffalo.
Grandpabob....its tough but we have to think long term.
its been over twenty years now and the traffic is less then when they started to think about building a bridge. if we need one so bad why not let the group from detriot build one with their cash
