Stephan Mychajliw is a far better reporter that Josh Boose. Unfortunately, local news stations are barely keeping their heads above water these days, and can't afford to pay quality reporters and/or anchors.

It's more of a case that they don't want to pay them all that much. The Buffalo market is not in the top 50 anymore. This means that the newer people you see have little experience and are younger. Also, with all the cable and satellite channels available, the local over-the-air stations aren't the only game in town anymore and haven't been in years. The talent pool keeps growing, therefore creating a buyer's marketplace...

I used to work with Steph years ago. He's a great guy and I wish him well in whatever he's doing now...
