    The Bills

When Ralph dies I hope Golisano buys the Bills and the State builds a Stadium down near the Bflo River/Waterfront. That would be cool.

I created the post and I love and miss everything I listed

also I like to make multiple choices....because my polls usually allow you to make multiple choices....and so its a reminder that anyone participating doesnt have to make a single choice.

my justification doesnt make me a loser but it does make you narrow minded.

Timmy - How come you don't have "When women and blacks were inferior" as a response?

As a child I vaguely remember the hustle and bustle of the central rail station, but I do remember seeing grandma off when she would go visit her sister in Detroit. Watching all the trains come and go was cool!

Progress. Creating and embracing what is new rather than longing for the past.
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.

the radial street grid is old and it serves Buffalo very well....no suburb or new town has ever created a radial street grid

city hall is old but they got it right and it could not be built today with that much detail

there are no olmstead parks being built today...they are flat and filled with tennis and baseball fields or they are radically on the other end towards a nature preserved.

they got alotta things right in the past...things that would make modern life better

its about the quality of life and the quality of design...and thats the point of the post....what qualities have we forgotten that we could bring back that would add to our quality of life

    Two Young Students' Opinions

I was talking with two young students yesterday. They were in their late teens or early 20s.

I will directly quote what they said:

"We don't give a crap about all this old **** from, like, 100 years ago. We don't care. That's a bunch of crap. We want some NEW stuff... Who cares about that old stuff?"

I'm just relaying what they said.

I second that. A viable downtown retail community would be such a boon. Oh well....

Ignorance, not knowing what they have missed because they never experienced what it is they have missed. How could they miss something they never experienced???
Yep, the leaders of tomorrow God help us all...

There was also a culture and a philosophy on how things were done…. Yea lets have the new crap, the new way of doing things….. You should have given the kids a free attitude lesson….
