Industry Cluster Profiles
The Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA), in cooperation with Buffalo Niagara Enterprise, has compiled a series of Industy Cluster Profiles designed to outline segments of the Buffalo Niagara regional economy identified as having strong assets and growth potential.

These downloadable profiles (.pdf format) provide detailed analyses of targeted industry business activity, employment, wage/payroll, industry association and additional resource information.

Information Technology (IT) Cluster Profile
Life Sciences Cluster Profile
Machinery Industry Cluster Profile
Transportation Equipment Cluster

I would recommend adding:
1) Networking and Telecommunication (which would include phone, cable & internet)
2) Material Science ( because of all the chemical, gas, plastics, ceramics, metals, nanotechnology, etc)
3) Power generation and Distribution (heck we supplied power for the Northeast at one time and we have some of the most diverse power in the country)
4) Logistics & Supply Chain Management

(gotta laugh at transportation equipment cluster...youd think that a city with a high priority in transportation would extend its light rail to the airport LOL)

PUUULLLLLLLEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ let it go with that white elephant extention to the airport. From the get go that was a bad idea. Everyone tod the NFTA that it was not feasable to build the thing. You have a thing with trains.........

Even the design of the Airport leaves a lot to be desired..... Really brilliant having a parking ramp area plop in the front of the airport like that..... The large windows inside glare right into the workers eyes certain times of the day....

Airport ticket counter work areas are not large enough.... The workers have to climb over the luggage weigh scales to get to the other side of the ticket counter.... The architect must have been a real winner for that design and the NFTA must have been experimenting with designer drugs again to let that design pass...... I could just hear the cries now start in five years.... We need a new modern airport building the taxpayers will help pay for it.......
My response go put your lips around the exhause side of the jet engine and blow hard while the engine throttle is 3/4 up!
