I always like Charlie Rose, and I'm grateful to him for this interview. I saw a small and timid step forward in this relationship between our country and the Middle East.

This interview was a microcosm of how we and our grandchildren will be living in our global village, and we all need to understand the gap between the cultures.

with an insular and secretive religious sect....a sect whose radicals and governments support genocide and mass murder to expand both their territory and their religion....as evidenced in Sudan, Rwanda, Darfur, etc.

We could understand the Soviet Union and its satellites and its covert spy network....because it was a political and economic ideology

But we cannot combat or understand an insular and secretive religious sect while at the same time we turn a blind and contempt eye to the same christian religion in our country that allowed secular states to arise.

We are fighting religion as a religious war overtly while our enemy fights a religious war covertly and wins.

Thats a sickness of the liberals and passifists...condemn the christian faith as a threat....embrace enemy religions...and hope better understanding will lead to tolerance. It wont...it will just lead to a beach head in your country as it did with every other country...and the rape and stoning of your wife or daughter as their religious law is applied in the name of tolerance (which might not be such a bad idea for some of these radical feminists out there (sarcasm)).
