City Council Meeting Minutes
May 15, 2006

I am requesting the council's assistance to call for volunteers to act on the community center market study that was completed by the Lackawanna Community Development Corporation. The study calls for a community center to be built along side of the library on Ridge Road. The study lays out step-by-step what needs to be done to put a center there. Now, we need volunteers to get involved with this center and at least one member of the council. Please contact my office with your suggestions regarding this matter.

So, in 2006 a study called for a community center be built along side of the library. The study supposedly laid out step-by-step what needed to be done to make that community center become a reality.

What happened? How much did it cost the taxpayers of this city to have the study completed...that apparently has simply been filed away in the bowels of City Hall somewhere.

When Kuryak was Mayor they had a youth program thing going on.They were supposed to build a youth center etc. I forget what it was called but anyways when Mayor "FULL TIME" showed up he and his cronies sent that idea flying out the window,just like anything else that got squashed that benifited the citizens because there was nothing in it for him or his cronies.
