Hopefully he will resign.
Does anyone know why Mohan has called a press conference for Friday? Does it have something to do with the Highway Union Vote this week?

Its going to be interesting.
What do you think he is going to do or say.
I spoke with a couple of Highway guys today and they stated it had to be done to sign a contract with the health insurance company the last day before there would be a significant rate change. If you remember at the end of 06, the TS sat on the health insurance bill until the middle of Dec, when he finally agreed with those advising him that there would be a rate change. He did that I beleive, on the last day (if not close to) also.

What if the Hokey-Pokey IS what it's all about?
NOt sure if it is true...could anyone tell me if the union negotiators will be receiving lifetime health insurance? I was told that at least one of the guys on the negotiating team for Highway Union will get lifetime health insurance with this new contract while the rest of the highway union will be paying 10% and NOT getting lifetime health. I think the news should look into it!!!

? I do not believe there is anything in this contract that gives health insurance upon retirement (any portion). If an individual (regardless whether negotiating or not) is obtaining paid health insurance upon retirement, they must have been hired before some "magical" date in the years 1977-79. As far as 10% by all employees, I believe those that were not paying into health insurance will eventually be paying 10% after (I believe)2011 (not 10% as stated in the misinformation "News" today)
The big question of the day is we all know that the vote was taken to stave off an increase in premiums, BUT I was wondering whether the TS had a fiscal impact study done that he made such an issue (heckeling at TB meetings) such as the one he demanded to be done when one of the Town's unions were settling their contract at the end of the former TS term?
If so, what was the impact? Just wondering.
There was a resolution passed a few years ago (I think it might have been sponsored by Schratz) that the Controller put together a detailed analysis of the fiscal impact BEFORE the Town Board votes on contracts. Does anyone know if this was done?
I think that was Shelly Ratz, and when has the Amherst Town Board EVER followed it's own rules?
