    Bed Tax

The town is in the red over 50 million dollars like their neighbor Buffalo. Mayor erkel moved on leaving the city in a hole and now the dip sht keeps making commericales for NYS gaming.

Bed tax in a area that needs all the money to come into this area from travlers now their going to tax them because the town cant control their spending. Lay off employees is one option,
down size the town board, cut the police force. Just look at the town the past few years a mess.

State Senator April Baskin has announced plans to introduce a bill next week in Albany that, if passed, would implement a 3% bed tax on visitors staying in the town's 17 hotels.

“It just makes sense for the Town of Cheektowaga,” Senator Baskin stated regarding the proposal.

She emphasized that the town's proximity to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and its significant hotel presence justify the need for a travelers' tax.

Baskin also said it's necessary because town expenses are going up and it has a "sizable debt." She said this proposed bed tax would help reduce the need for future borrowing and would limit major property tax hikes

    down size the town board
Because you think less people sitting at the town board desk will simply spend less money? Or you think the cost of one person's town board salary is the issue?

res most of the bond issues were from the the mary holtz era. new campus Pd station etc. everytime they buy equipment that cost a bond issue. if you dont have the money float a bond.

no one person salary is not the issue. PD over time is a issue always was. ask the new assembly man the former Lt. Pat he knows where the waste is also the new councilman LT flipper.
looks like pat wants to play both sides of the fence in the state.

Like the city 50 million in the hole like the town
