Retired Pay Restoration Act of 2007

The Retired Pay Restoration Act of 2007 would allow the receipt of both military retired pay and veterans' disability compensation with respect to any service-connected disability (currently, only a disability rated at 50 percent or more). The proposed legislation (S. 439 and H.R. 303) would make individuals who were retired or separated from military service due to a service-connected disability eligible for the full concurrent receipt of both veterans' disability compensation and either military retired pay or combat-related special pay.

Lets go veterans lets get behind our fellow warriors.

This injustice needs to end now!

I am simply making a point, but I have met several, I mean SEVERAL people who have gone into the VA and on the day of their assessment purposely made the injuries hurt, moaned, complained and such, faked their symptoms only to come back an tell me that they will be getting more in their disability checks - the next day dancing around happy as a cat in a catnip patch. I'm sure many people need it who are Vets, but I am a VET too, and I also know many people are just trying to work the system. To me, it's not that different than those scamming Welfare and the Food Stamp program - they are all healthy to work, yet choose not too... then they have side gigs, sell on ebay, etc. YOu know what I am talking about. I guess we can give everyone double pay, and expect them not to work for the remaining 50 years of their life, and also giveaway free healthcare like you want, but bottom line is: WHO IS GOING TO PAY? You are, in the form of a 200% increase in your taxes. Don't think it's not going to happen, because in a perfect socialist state like you want - it's inevitable.

    Sure thing

I dont normally do this but its obvious your lying. Vets arent given disabilty for one hospital visit. Records are gone over for years dating back to the incident that caused the injury that the vet recieves disability for.

You cant walk in one day and "moan and groan" and get paid.

You lost all credibility with anyone that has served with that post.
