I am not preferential either way, but I don't think its fair to list the names and especially the addresses of the people who donate to a political party. That is their business and should not be for the general public. Have some common courtesy please.
The Board of Elections posts it because it is public knowledge/information. Therefore there is nothing wrong with these names being listed. It is public information. Maybe they shouldnt donate if they have a problem. Interesting names listed their though.

I think that most people do not realize that their names and addresses get posted when they donate.
My posting is to help those interested , understand our local system of Governance.

Lets say you recognize a name or company on this list. If that person works for the Town or has done work for Lancaster - or receives tax dollars from Lancaster - feel free to point that out!
I for one see quite a few and will post more - verified information that will be helpful for others to understand the connection between our Town Government and "Special Interest groups"
I think it interesting to see who receives our tax dollars in the form of "Wages , Contracts"
Also there seems to be many people on this list that benefit directly from "Special Treatment" when it comes to Town Board and Planning Board Decisions !
Education is the key to understanding !

Great observations! The list is loaded with friends and family patronage jobs, planning board and zoning board appointees, special interests and general suck ups - the typical political class trough-feeding system.I always find it interesting when people try to hide their true political intents. The annual audit of the Town of Lancaster’s books shows a town on solid financial footing through the end of 2006.
( The report came from a Company paid for with Tax Dollars , Hired by The Lancaster Town Board , they used info provided by the Town -
to Quote Mr.Ertel , " to paint a picture of sound monetary health."
Report provided by Richard K. Ertel,
a partner at the Fox and Company accounting firm .

Now , let me get this straight - Fox & Company of Tonawanda N.Y. is hired by the Lancaster Town Board to present a report , that to quote Mr.Ertel , "Paints a picture of sound monetary health."
Fox & Company gets paid by the Lancaster Town Board with our tax dollars - Then Mr. & Mrs Ertel along with Fox & Company give "Contributions" to the Lancaster Democratic Committee !
Maybe Sandra Tan should have asked or exposed those facts in the nice article she was given to write .
I see how it works - you give me tax dollars - I give you pay check - we say nice things about each other and bill it to the tax payers - BRILLIANT!
