During the public hearing, former clerk Joan Priebe questioned the village’s policy on portable signs. Under current law, businesses can use portable signs indefinitely. Because of their proliferation the village has a difficult time keeping track of them. Permit fees are charged on a monthly basis. Since the village is having a hard time keeping track of the signs, they are having a hard time billing and collecting the fees for them.
You think they would allow people to promote thier businesses within reason. Why charge a monthly fee to place a portable or movable sign in front of your business..How does that add to the cost of living in depew or any town?
I'm acutally tired though of seeing "FOR LEASE" signs in front of every strip plaza in the area.
