LIDA approved Feasibility study on 12-9-2022

The Lancaster IDA approved a feasibility study on December 9, 2022-

At the January 13, 2023 meeting, it was revealed that the contract was never signed by the former chairman.
The new chaiman at first stated that he wouldn't sign it because he voted 'NO'. The attorney advised that his signature was
a ministerial duty. In the end, the chair said he would sign it to move forward.

From the February 10, 2023 minutes,

For some reason the vote wasn't documented in the minutes.

    Getzoni-YES
    Leary-YES
    McNichol-Absent
    Peterson-YES
    Rinow-YES:
    Ruda-NO
    Lemaster, Chair- NO

What I'm confused about is that the board approved the resolution and now want to edit or delete that decision.
Also, in December, the resolution failed regarding approving purchasing software and date management from the Amherst IDA.
Yet, during the February meeting, it was discussed about possibly to approve this same resolution.
I guess, I don't remember so much flip flopping before on any of boards.

Gorga, Lemaster voted ‘yes’ to tabling the feasibility study discussion and vote to the next meeting, not ‘no’. In fact, it so states that in the minutes you posted.

While LIDA member Ruda sponsors and supports approving the two-piece feasibility study contract as being something that is going to be good for this community, in the realm of what IDA’s should be doing for their community, and enhances community opportunities for grants, Lemaster views the project as redundant, and money ill spent.

The contract was never formally submitted to the board or approved by LIDA. Tabling, revisiting, and then voting was the right direction taken. March 14th is but a few days away.

It has yet to be determined whether the feasibility study presented in two pieces can be separated and individually voted on and approved. If this is flip-flopping, it appears to be in serving the best interest of the community.

    March 14th, I’m in!

Sorry, my mistake on the "no' vote but in the minutes, it only states that Lemaster made the motion and Leary seconded it.
No vote count after that in the written minutes but it's on the video.

Just a question maybe someone would know the answer to.
The two clerks for the LIDA work in the town clerk's office. If they have to meet with the computer consultant regarding a computer for LIDA use, does this have to be done after hours, not on town time?

Being Open Government Sunshine Week, it appears appropriate to ask questions of our government. That doesn’t guarantee an answer will be given, or a credible one.

While you ask a question to ‘someone’, I have asked questions and received no response from the town.

In a related LIDA question, whatever happened to LIDA Secretary and Town Law Office Clerk Leeza Braun. I understand a resignation letter was submitted but never made public in the communications, or about her replacements. I was disappointed when hearing of her leaving and curious as to reason why.

Who should be held responsible for the new dog shelter project grant application screw up that cost the town at least $150,000 in additional taxpayer revenue.

The town Supervisor and his minions charge Councilmember Robert Leary of harassing his staff and the reason for several staff resignations. Were formal charges ever filed and an investigation conducted? Or just slanderous allegations made by a supervisor who lost control of his department and saw an opportunity to blame another for his failure and/or smear and discredit a political opponent who would be seeking his office. Well, it appears to not have any impact because Leary has been endorsed for the Supervisor’s position by the Republican and Conservative parties, and with no opposing Democratic party endorsement. Is Mr. Leary a bully, or one exhibiting tenacity and ‘leadership’ skills.

Tonight, the media spoke on the City of Buffalo teacher’s union contract negotiation status – still at impasse and with union unacceptance. We hear nothing of the town’s union contract negotiations to the point whether negotiations are even discussed at town Executive Sessions. We are not privy to even hear if that agenda item is to be discussed, or anywhere.

Lastly, on a personal note, what is behind your claim that Leary and the other town board members are taking the town to bankruptcy? Serious charge without specifics and almost as lame as the Supervisor openly declaring at a town board meeting that he was the only “f’en” conservative on the town board.

What is next on the Leary ‘bully’ smear campaign? That someone once seen him bully and kick a rat?

BTW: Have you heard anything regarding efficiency / cost savings since Supervisor Ruffino privatized his financial / payroll / human resource department? Everyone happy at Town Hall?
