Immigration bill will come back to Senate, leaders say
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Senate Democratic and GOP leaders and the key architects of a comprehensive immigration reform bill reached a deal to revive the bill Thursday.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pulled the bill from the floor last week after most Republicans balked at cutting off further amendments and moving forward toward a vote. The Democratic leader said he was willing to revive the bill if it was clear that there is enough Republican support to move the bill forward.
But Senate GOP and Democratic leaders tell CNN the bill -- which would grant millions of illegal immigrants legal status -- will again be debated on the Senate floor.
Negotiations lasted most of Thursday resulting in a tentative agreement on the number and scope of amendments that will be offered when the bill comes back before the Senate. Senators and aides familiar with the deal said it will allow for consideration of about 20 amendments.

Am I the only person who finds it more than a little odd to have political filth Kennedy agreeing with bush jr. on anything? HELLO!!!! RED FLAG here folks. WAKE UP!!!!!! They will force this issue until they are allowed to bring in the illegals by the billions. It is what our corporate whore government wants. This is all part of the North American Union B.S. Mexico, U.S.A., and Canada. The roads are being built. The U.S. ports will be closed, laying off thousands of U.S. port workers. Asia's crap will be trucked from Mexico for pennies a day, by Mexicans throughout America. There is more to this, do a search on it.
Anywho, two questions:
1.)Six years after September 11, 2001, our borders are still not secure. How in the hell can you promote amnesty for illegals(U.S. government doesn't even know how many, lol!!!), when we are at war(War on Terror, remember?), and when our borders are not even secure? Who in the hell is buying this B.S.?
2.)We're told how hard working the illegals are. If they were so hard working, why haven't they turned Mexico into a golden utopia?
This amnesty is nothing more than modern corporate whore slavery in the 21st century. We are told a majority of Americans support amnesty. Is that the rich majority or the majority of illegals who support this? No U.S. citizen in their right mind would support the selling out of the U.S.A. as this amnesty B.S. does.
