Wall Street Journal: Light Rail investment creates 3x-5x investment along its route.

We can already see the fruits of investment attracted to the Main Street Route.

Imagine the investment along the Larkin, Central Terminal, Airport & Transit corridor
Imagine the investment along the Niagara Falls Corridor
Imagine the investment along the UB Amherst/Lockport Corridor
Imagine the investment along the Cobblestone, Basilica/Botanical Gardens, Ford Stamping Plant Corridor
Imagine the investment along the City of Tonawanda Corridor

to bad we cant have a Niagara Street (HealthNow, Richs, Contract Pharmaceuticals, Riverside, GM Powertrain, Dunlop, Tonawanda Corridor.

I am a strong believer that extending the light rail will provide a strong impetus for local economic growth.

Dont forget, one reason UB chose to locate the Center for Excellence in Life Sciences in the Fruit Belt was because the light rail connected it to the south campus or it might have wound up in Amherst. Imagine the potential benefits of future Center for Excellence located in other local communities and the benefits they could bring.
