Why our Screwdriver took 3 YEARS

I've been using the same screw driver for over 35 years...I needed a screw driver and got it from my grand father. Haven't had the need to upgrade what I have been using. Still works.

Funny how some of the best ideas are so very simple in nature; we all (well most of us) use this idea everyday in our shop who would have thought just by placing a small magnet in the tip of a screwdriver and presto you could interchange different tips with ease.

Well it would seem that on July 13th,1949 Frederick G. Clark and his partner Wade Stevenson of Buffalo New York Applied for this patent and it was granted on May 1st, 1951.
