In 2009, Orchard Park citizens voted to downsize the Orchard Park Town Board from 5 members to 3 members effective January 2012. This vote eliminated the seats now held by Nan Ackerman and Ed Graber. Rumor has it that Nan Ackerman wants the Town Board to force another vote to reverse the downsizing so she can pour her personal wealth into influencing an outcome that will allow her to seek re-election and stay on the Town Board.
