Fall 2010 enrollment at Erie Community College has reached another high.
A total of 15,037 students are attending classes this fall, according to a statement from the two-year college. The total tops last year’s enrollment record of 14,328 students, ECC officials said.

Most of the students – 10,700 – are full-time while 4,337 are part-time. Forty-five percent of the students take classes at North campus in Amherst, 29 percent attend South campus in Orchard Park and 26 percent are enrolled at City campus in Buffalo.

Nearly 8,000 students from the total population are continuing students, meaning they took classes at ECC last year. The rest of the population is made up of new and transfer students, plus some who took a break from classes and are now returning to ECC.

In addition, more students who are military veterans have enrolled in the college. The current number is 685 students, an increase of 20 percent, or 215 students from last fall.
