Did anyone ever really take Guilliani seriously? Him climbing on rubble at 911 was as much a theatrical spectical as when Bush copied him climbing on the rubble saying he was taking charge of the country....and then declared the war over on the aircraft carrier.

What did Rudy really do for NYC....that makes people think Rudy can handle the white house....well maybe I can compliment Rudy by saying that Rudy wouldnt be worse than Bush...Rudy for President would certainly give the country years of social fodder that his incompetent family life...in no time at all people will be looking at Rudy and saying that they cant believe they impeached clinton for a little diddle with a cigar.

Rudy could never carry the republican party but lets be honest...there really is no such thing as a republican or conservative in NYS...the patronage, the NYS senate, the NYS assembly and the unions would never allow it. What we really have in NYS is centrist democrats labeling themselves as republicans and then extreme leftist socialist/communists liberals calling themselves democrats.

Furthermore even those names are perfunctory because the patronage machine and the unions pretty much dictate the majority of the budget making the governors responsibilities pretty much that of a figure head. Central American Puppet Dictators and Banana Republics are more democratic than NYS.

I like a line I heard on TV - "Rudy is running for President of 9/11"
    The path is clear
    Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before.
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen,
Though many times they've seen the way to leave.

Rudy could run as a Democrat or Republican since his platform is one in the same. What does that tell you about both political parties?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Rudy picks Joe Lieberman as his Vice Presidential running mate. Its time to really look at political third parties such as the Constitution Party, Libertarian Party etc as an alternatives.
