A lot of good people could have been spared. You'd hope that long-lasting difficulties, from the production itself or even in hindsight, will not be a burden for anyone. You just can't un-see something like that, as it stays in your mind and pops up when you think about all this crap. If only someone would have stood up and protested what clearly was pornographic, yet verbal porn, this all could have been moot.
If only someone with a conscience would have heard of the planning.
Adam Dickman, becoming embroiled in a scandal in the first place, in my opinion, could have easily been avoided had he just played it cool until after the election. Kind of like locking yourself in the house so as not to run into any trouble because some real important event is on the horizon. You can see it went to his head, as has been written here and elsewhere, Dickman reportedly working to rustle up a crowd for the filming. Yet, for outsiders angst at such a waste of taxpayer money, news of paid Village employees recruited for the big, big "entertainment" forthcoming in a room in the Village Highway Department - on taxpayer property, would cause a negative stir. Such that could have easily been avoided, now could become something in the candidates' campaigns, and be costly in the end.
You see, this could have all been avoided had common sense just kicked in.
But with arrogance and cockiness taking hold, nothing was going to happen. Not to us !! We are the chosen golden boys, we won the primary didn't we ??
Maybe if they were humble, this whole thing would never have led to this thread.

But, Brainard is just a two-bit player in Lancaster politics, and who knows him anyway ?? Of course when he last ran, a mailer hit Town mailboxes (and posted here on Speakup) with news that Brainard's fiscal record included 2 criminal bench warrants, 7 judgments, 2 federal tax liens, a warrant from NYS Unemployment, and a Non-Payment from the NYS Workers Compensation Board. Dino wanted to place him on the Town Board. So, who should care that Brainard is also financing the campaign of Mr. Pilato right now in 2021, his supporters on here write. He's old news here in 2021, even though he's deeply involved financing the campaign in 2021. But the real proof here is the role that Dino Fudoli is now playing on behalf of the DICKMAN - PILATO United Campaign. With Dino's own address listed as the campaign treasurer, and other records show another Fudoli property is involved, seems like rock solid proof linking him to the campaign.
Could Dino also have stayed cool until after the big November victory, readers ???

Mr. Sojka most likely won't be able to hold all his Republicans, as well as Conservative Party voters, come Election Day. Concerning the primary for Highway Superintendent, Danny Amatura did receive 32.24 percent of the vote on the Republican line (even after all the bashing on here, and the mail sent to voters), that for an upstart GOP candidate. Qualified Highway Superintendent Amatura came even closer in the Conservative primary, claiming 42.06%.
Fast forward to Election Day, and a very nice bit of those votes could go Danny's way, too.
Especially with the highly qualified current Highway chief facing off against someone with little real world experience to claim.
Enter Dino.
In my view, Dino Fudoli is... "your worst nightmare" Frank Lee Blunt!
When you combine the vote Danny received in June, the dangerous inexperience of Mr. Pilato, the insertion of Dino, it all boils down to a horserace that Danny can win!!
And let's not forget about the divisions within the Lancaster GOP due to the June primary.

Where Gorga masks her Dickman accusatory rhetoric against Dickman with ‘allegedly,’ you openly charge Dickman with being a pornographer who staged the whole event and is guilty of being the target of the ‘sexual abuse’ Village investigation. You and Gorga have made yourselves judge and jury in this investigation and proclaimed Dickman guilty. I will reserve judgement until such time the Village of Lancaster issues a statement on who the real target of the investigation is (or was) - as Blunt says the investigation was completed some time ago.
If the investigation has been completed the Village owes it to Dickman, as well as to the voters, to release a statement as to whether he was the target of the investigation.
Until Gorga posted the wnyMedia.net video on Speakup, I had never seen the video or heard from any Lancaster resident acknowledging they had seen or heard of the video. And now an individual who was appointed Lancaster’s representative to the Erie County Environmental Council addressed the town board Monday and announced he was conducting an investigation into Dickman’s deviant behavior. Was he speaking on behalf of the town? No response from the board or Town Attorney. What is going on?

No question at all. I never implied anything challenging that. Remember, I stayed out of those primaries. I just state Danny won the votes of 32.24% of Republicans, and 42.06% of Conservatives. Heck, if he gets 10 to 15% of these folks in the general it could be all over for Pilato. And your political barometer is messed up anyway because you do not include unaffiliated voters like yourself, which account for a large chunk of voters in this day and age.
Probably doesn't help the "Real" crumb bums one bit when their very own chief financier and campaign treasurer, widely known for wanting the sock a police officer in the face at a polling location, is sticking out like a sore thumb in the general.
