    Sinking homes & civil suit

Does anyone have any information regarding the sinking homes, and civil action which has been or is currently pending?

If so or if not, who could be held responsible?

    The town, contractors?

I need this information for an assignment, and thanks a lot for any feedback!

The homeowner purchased a home. What does the contract say?

Hi. Try reaching a woman named Darlene Torbenson in Amherst. She is very active with the sinking homes people and can tell you anything you'd like to know.

IN all honesty who does the homeowner blame unless there was negligence to start with?

Yes, she is a private citizen and was one of the first people to reveal the sinking home problem. You could probably find lots of stuff by googling her name, along with sinking houses.

As for her number, I'm not sure if it's listed, but a quick check of whitepages.com might tell you...........

    Stuff happens, sometimes.

Who do the residents of New Orleans sue? I'm sure the home builders knew they were sea level when they erected them.
I know they knew those homes were right on the gulf.

The developer should have done a site analysis before developeing on it. The Town should have had the site analysis findings or conduct a site analysis. The owner could have asked questions and done some research too but if you see a developement going up you would not normally suspect anything wrong witht he grounds being developed on at first.

If I built a three hundred thousand plus house and it started to sink because of the land conditions I would take up hunting and would probably be confused on the game that is allowed to be hunted.

ACME deer meet processing: "Sir. you sent us a dead corpse - we only process deer game.

Sorry he was a developer - I got confused my bad.

The people in New Orleans should go after the local governement for not ensuring their safety. The levies were bad, they new it.

we could build space shuttles, we could have biult a good retaining wall or put up the worlds largest glass wall as an Aquarium.

It is the meds again - darn!

I'd like to see where it's documented that some bureaucrat actually admitted that "hey, we've got bad levees here, uh, and there's 500k people here, uh, I'd just like to go on record saying that this is a bad idea."

    Regards.

    Think twice bureaucrat...BEFORE you speak

We need to bring back the STOCKADES......PLACED IN TOWN SQUARE, HUMILIATION never killed anyone, But it would sure be a deterrent to double talking public officials
