Sure, if you were a non-participating bystander. But, if you had planned the degrading show beforehand, made sure all your colleagues were in attendance, told people that the "entertainment" was going to occur, and participated as the cameraman, then you can't possibly be a victim of a smear.
More likely Dickman turned over the recording because higher ups got word of it. Keep in mind this all happened at his main place of employment.

If you really are a leader, you would have put down the recording devise right away and stopped Brian Mammoth once you realized what the awful content was. This is why Frank Lee Blunt is so misleading and duplicitous. A leader would have immediately stopped Mammoth from continuing on with his skit. A leader would not have snickered during the 'show,' or a leader would not have pointed the camera at the young woman, because a leader would have had enough sense to know the entire degrading event was wrong.

Politics as usual
As a town resident, I have no standing in the Village of Lancaster and have never met Adam Dickman.
I have listened to the video and declare it vile as has every man and woman who has also watched it.
I have read on several threads:
Dickman videoed the prose and publicly. shared the video. I have yet to hear of anyone seeing this video until it was linked from another website and presented on Speakup. Seems unlikely that a Republican who is now ‘alleged’ to be complicit in a vile video would distribute it to a ‘progressive’ website that was also too pleased to show the video.
The videographer is charged with ruining the girl's (in attendance) life – not the man presenting the trash.
Dickman should be labeled ‘pornographer’ and fired. The man presenting the filth was fired – or so they say. Has he?
Dickman has gone from outright guilty to ‘alleged’ to innocent until proven guilty.
This is nothing more that politics as usual. Dickman is a Republican Town Councilman running for re-election. The incumbent was not endorsed by his own party in the primary. He primaried the endorsed Republican candidates and handedly won. He was endorsed by the Conservatives and handedly won. The colluded Lancaster Republican and Democrat parties conspired to cross endorse candidates to not only assure victory for their chosen lot and self-interests, but conspired to oust the endorsed conservative candidates and gain the endorsement and support of the Working Families Party to suppress voter choice in the upcoming election.
Having their collective asses handed to them in the primary and fearing defeat in November, it is time to smear Dickman. So, they let the dogs out! They are not only trying to cancel Dickman, but they also want him fired.
Politics was always known figuratively as a ‘blood sport.’ Today a person in politics is apt to be shamed, falsely accused, and threatened with job loss. Sad!
