    Michael Cole (R) Alden

Now that Mr. Cole has given his (spin) side of the story, of why he spent the night at a 21 year old female interns apartment. Can anyone explain why the intern was fired?

I asked the same thing over here...

    http://forums.speakupwny.com/showthread.php?t=12528

The article says the intern was fired, no mention why though. That was weird.

Who the hell invites an assemblyman up to sleep on THE FLOOR??? You'd think a better option would be to call him a cab. You'd think.

Sure...after someone explains to me why anyone would believe that line of malarky he handed to everyone.

    Pathetic attempt

That was lame. Poor excuse for a bs excuse. It is too bad the intern was fired, but I guess there are rules against fraternizing, or hammering the young intern. It is stupid though that a girl , 21 can't do whoever she chooses, regardless of profession. Yea 21 is young, but I doubt she was a virgin. What if the intern was 35 ? Same rules ?

Unhappy He'll Run For Reelection - Bet On It

Word is that he has told his people that he anticipates no problem with reelection next year, that he believes there's no way that the public's memory will still be holding this against him by November '08.
    Is he right?

If I lived in his district. I sure would remember his escapade on the taxpayers dime.

Highly attended from what I heard from my friend. Many business people and other electeds were there. As was his entire family (including extended.)

How was he on the taxpayers dime? After hours, at a bar, with other Assembly members from both sides of the aisle, watching our beloved Sabres...

I know Albany is abusing our tax dollars, but I don't think elected officials are on the clock 24/7

Hell, Mr. Lackawanna, maybe you swung by Curly's or Bear's Den one night for a refreshment after work to catch some of the playoffs- should you be criticized because you were on your job's dime- using your logic... if that's the case Buffalo's finest establishments (bars) are in serious trouble...
