The piece was about 2 things.

    1) Newt Gingrich heard the first Shirley Sharrod clip, and instantly said that she should be fired. The very same thing the Obama administration did.

Chris Wallace asked Newt about this, and instead of appologizing, he criticized the Obama administration for reacting harshly to the clip. Newt said that what he did was right. Huh? I'm confused. How can Newt have it both ways? This topic was dropped after speaking to Howard Dean.

    2) Howard Dean said that 'Fox NEWS' showed this clip, and Chris Wallace was all over him saying that the Fox NEWS did not show this clip. This is a technicality, the CHANNEL and WEB SITE _DID_ show the clip, but not the 'news' show portions. Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity are not considered the 'news' part, but showed the clip. Howard Dean didn't understand the difference, and looked confused and stupid, when he was actually being 'tricked'.

So, Chris Wallace hammers Howard Dean on a technicality, and lets Newt slide on hypocracy. And this is okay? Really?

Well the last time I checked Newt wasn't the POTUS or the one firing anyone over their own laziness!

    Now for the facts.
Fox news never played the clip until after she was fired.
Then the clip was played to show the excuse the administration used for axing her.(As was done on CNN and MSLSD also)
Chris Wallace would not let Deans lie stand.
His LIE was Fox news got her fired.
And this is no mere "technicality".

But the Fox News website did. Are you suggesting that the content on one is mutually exclusive from the other?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No one is entitled to their own facts.

This youtube clip from the O'Reilly Factor proves that the Fox News Channel DID air the clip before she was fired.

These are Bill O'Reilly's own words. Care to explain this?

    What's to explain.
In the very first sentence he says... "And why was she fired..."

    You're wrong.
    O'Reilly airs at 8PM.
She was fired in the afternoon.

    Now here,
I'll hold the rock while you climb back under.

The issue here is something that all of the main stream media seems to have forgotten. News shows have to be diligent in vetting any story that they "break" on air. The O'Reily Factor is NOT a news show. This clip being shown on the The O'Reily Factor is no different than it being shown on YouTube. FOX News handled the clip and the story in an upstanding and competent way as a news channel should. In fact FOX's handling points out the incompetence of the Obama administration. FOX waited to get all the facts before reporting the truth of the story, the Obama administration had a knee jerk reaction to the YouTube clip and fired this woman. But we have come to expect this from Obama, anyone remember the quote:

"I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry. Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And number three - what I think we know separate and apart from this incident - is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that's just a fact."

It is the POTUS and not FOX that jumps the gun without getting the facts. It was FOX that reported the truth!

I consider Bill O'Reilly part of the FOX NEWS CHANNEL. Everything on the Fox News CHANNEL Is what I consider 'FOX NEWS'.

Doesn't it say 'FOX NEWS' right on the bottom of the screen during the O'Reily show?
