Conservative Team for a Better Lancaster flyer 1.jpg

This flyer appears to have been addressed to seniors and other absentee voters.

An important message from the 2021 Conservative Team for a Better Lancaster

As a senior, and then some, I hope the individuals receiving this correspondence would question the logic behind this paragraph:

Because they want to control town government for their own selfish political purposes these party bosses are promoting candidates that have no background in delivering vital services and whose only experience administering town government has been consistently voting to increase town taxes beyond the limits of the tax cap.

    1) Who is the ‘they’ – the real ballot recognized Conservative Party and its endorsed candidate?

    2) Party bosses of one political party vs. colluding party bosses of 3 other parties – hypocrisy?

    3) No background in delivering vital services but consistently voting to increase town taxes beyond the limits of the tax cap. How is that possible? The tentative 2021 budget proposed by Supervisor Ruffino was the only budget that I recall exceeded the tax cap limit. The error was brought to light by residents and council members Leary and Dickman and more fund balance was used to offset the difference. The town board has been under Democratic Party control for the past 25 years and any tax increases can be attributed to that party.

    4) Amatura, Rudz and Wozniak have received endorsements from the Republican, Democrat and Working Family Parties, but not the Conservative Party; not ‘the officially recognized Conservative Party’. Democrat and Working Party ‘conservatives’, seriously?

Ah politics, wading through the BS is so difficult!

    Just My Opinion:

Regarding what has been termed the Lancaster "Cabal," the letters, flyers, mailers, by whatever name called, are the formats by which the supporters of the Cabal's candidates convey their shrewd, manipulative, deceptive political messaging; a faithful ritual in the tradition of Charlie Brown and the football.

Historically, once elected, the public utterances and conduct of those former candidates seem to reveal their heavy-handed approach to governance. Those practices appear to suggest their disdain for, and an indifference to, the needs and concerns of the residents; perhaps a manifestation of the powerholders' desire to preserve their special interests and apply raw political power?

During the 2019 and 2020 Lancaster campaigns, the voters had an opportunity to defy the historic political deceptions and governing performances of the "Cabal's actors.

Has the time come for many to consider the possibility that the majority of voters are civically indifferent, or perhaps actually prefer to dutifully accept the rule of a heavy-handed "Cabal," rather than to principally engage the political/governing process?

Perhaps it is time for public commenters to ask themselves, who needs to be publicly maligned and abused in pursuit of a civic purpose which simply is of no value to the majority of the voting residents?

This is the People's Charter of the Working Families Party:

The People’s Charter is our roadmap out of our current state of crisis, and to an America that works for the many, not the privileged and powerful few. Americans are coming together to care for each other like never before — but our government isn’t caring for us. It doesn’t even seem to care about us.

Three events have rocked our country: a global pandemic, an economic collapse, and a reckoning with the history of systemic racism against Black people. Across the country, communities have been caring for one another through these crises. Grocery clerks and farmworkers keeping food on our shelves. Nurses saving lives while risking their own. Neighbors delivering supplies to those most vulnerable and sharing what they have with people who need it. And millions of people have taken to the streets in grief and anger to demand an end to police killings and all racial injustice.

Our politicians, again, rushed to bail out corporations and billionaires. But they’re playing games with unemployment insurance, leaving families to skip meals, go without medication, or fall behind on rent or mortgage payments. They seem to care for billionaires a lot more than they care for working people.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We can heal the wounds from the pandemic, the economic depression, and a history of racism. And we can do more. Working people can come together to make a nation that cares for all of us.

Repair historic harms and end systemic racism.

This is the Legislative Agenda of the Working Families Party...
    DECARCERATE AND DECRIMINALIZE

The Working Families Party is supporting the Justice Roadmap, a package of 26 bills aimed at addressing the harms of our violent and oppressive criminal justice system, including:

Fair and Timely Parole (S1415 Rivera | A4231 Weprin): grants fair & timely parole to parole-eligible people in prison.

Elder Parole (S215 Hoylman | A3475 de la Rosa): allows for the consideration of parole release for people aged 55 and older who have served at least 15 consecutive years in prison.

HALT Solitary (S2836 Salazar | A2277 Aubry): limits use of solitary confinement and creates humane and effective alternatives.

Marijuana Regulation and Tax Act (S854 Krueger | A1248 People-Stokes): legalizes marijuana through racial equity and reinvests revenue into the communities most impacted by the racist war on drugs. Marijuana legalization was included in Governor Cuomo’s proposed budget with limited details on reinvestment and equity, and we are fighting to ensure the final bill reflects the MRTA.

Less is More Act (S1144 Benjamin | A5493): Restricts the use of incarceration for technical parole violations and bolsters due process.

    END THE CLIMATE CRISIS

Fossil fuel interests have been prioritized for far too long. We are demanding action to stop the climate crisis, create green jobs, and center frontline communities most impacted by climate change.

Climate and Community Investment Act (S4264 Parker | A9856 Cahill): creates a Climate and Community Investment Authority to administer multi-billion dollar programs to advance a just transition to a clean, renewable energy economy for New York.

The Federal THRIVE Agenda will confront the climate crisis while creating millions of good jobs, investing in frontline communities, and commiting to a just transition into a sustainable economy.

[SIZE=4]Lee thanks for standing your ground after to being bullied by Goldy to stop looking at him. I wonder if Mr. Amatura hasn't opened up Pandora's Box with his threats of law suits against anyone who dare investigate his underhanded doings as Superintendent. I hear rumors that are looking more like the future that pipe dreams of the past. Employees who Goldy has stepped on and continues to step on may have a pretty compelling case to sue him for a number of different offenses and rights violations. Mental cruelty and constant undue pressure brought against certain individuals working under Golden Boy may have gone way past the point needed to sue.
In this day and age many employers have suffered the outcome of such suits against over zealous and overbearing managers. I would tread lightly Goldy, even if you pull a win out of your fanny, there are going to be those issues for the TOL to answer to. Good Luck!

On the issue of corruption in Lancaster politics, Ralph Mohr and the Giza Mafia are the bottom of the barrel. Sewage that needs to be flushed. There is only one way to send those dirt bags packing, and I hope the Conservatives can do the job of getting the public informed. It is the only thing Ralph cannot have happen.

Here is Paul Rudz's two-year attendance record as Village of Lancaster Trustee:

    (1) In his first full year as Trustee, Paul Rudz missed five (5) VOL Board public meetings.

    (2) In his second full year as Trustee, Paul Rudz missed four (4) VOL Board public meetings.

    (3) At the beginning of his third year as VOL Trustee, as of May 10, 2021, Paul Rudz, out of three regular and one special VOL Board meetings, Rudz already has missed one meeting.

    Also:

Trustee Rudz voted for a massive increase of search fees, with this justification...

"Trustee Paul Rudz added that this fee is more in line with some of the neighboring communities."
    https://www.lancasterbee.com/article...tificate-fees/

Why did Trustee Rudz reverse his position on the Roundabouts?

This was Trustee Rudz's position on the Roundabouts, April 29, 2020:

Trustee Paul Rudz asked, especially in light of the pandemic, if the village might stretch out the project to help collect more information and get more accurate renderings out to the public"...

The board agreed that the later date — with bids in 2021 and construction in 2022 — would make the most sense for the the village, especially considering the slowdown from the pandemic and other major construction in the village, such as sewer projects and the West Main Street Extension build."

This was Trustee Rudz's position on the Roundabouts, September 17, 2020:

The Lancaster Village Board voted to approve the project proposal and design report for the Lancaster Roundabouts Project Monday.

Four trustees voted for the resolution, and Mayor William Schroeder voted against the resolution.

Does this Town Council exchange support the above-attached comment resident in the mailer?...

    Mr. Lemaster:

"I have one simple question and one comment: Do any of the Town Board members, or the Supervisor, have any relatives or any type of family relations to any of the people being put on these committees, boards hiring positions, any one of you?"

    Supervisor Ruffino:

    "I do not, at all."

    Councilman Leary:

    "Bob Leary, I do not."

    Councilman Mazur:

    "I do not."

    Councilman Dickman:

    "Adam Dickman, I do not."

    Councilman Wozniak:

    "Mike Wozniak, I do not."

    Mr. Lemaster:

"Pardon, I did not hear the last..."

    Councilman Wozniak:

"Mike Wozniak, and I do not either."

    Mr. Lemaster:

"Ah, you're not related to any of the Speyers? (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

"You're related to the Speyers, aren't you?"

    Councilman Wozniak:

    "Yes."

    Mr. Lemaster:

"Okay, then right there, you turned around and made an inaccurate statement."
