The Broadway Market is getting a facelift. The exterior of the building is going to be repainted and the front of the market is going to have dryvit removed with the original blond brick being restored to make market look like it did in 1950s. It's not the 1950's any longer and people have changed shopping patterns. There are also far more local outlets to purchase food products.

Why does the city continue to put money into this or are the funds generated by the rents from the tenants?
