    Nfta

The metro rail is out of service until further notice. I have an idea. Let’s spend hundreds of millions and destroy hundreds of jobs to expand a system that can’t keep running now!

Under no circumstances should an organization as poorly managed at NFTA be allowed to exist and spend taxpayer money. Yesterday we were treated to a story of comical ineptitude that should lead to immediate calls the elimination of this useless tax wasting abomination. It was announced that the last metro rail car to be rehabilitated will shortly rejoin the fleet, a total of 26 or 27 cars. The rehab project began in 2004. That’s right, it’s taken NFTA 17 freaking years to rehab 26 cars!! I suppose that by now, the first cars to be rehabbed are now in need of another rehab, thereby allowing the cycle of fraud, waste and corruption to start anew. And yet the executive staff who “managed” this nearly generation long cluster **** were rewarded with secret, under the table unapproved salary increases just a few years ago.
