After an incident this summer, I can attest to the quality of the Lancaster Town Police Department.
Kudos to Karn and company.
Lancaster was rated the third safest town in Western New York and the 69th in New York State.
The data used for the report are from crime rates, calculated from FBI crime data.
This list was updated in September of 2020. 10 towns in Western New York made the top 101 in the entire state.

LIDA Member Rinow to Member Ruda: You were a sitting Trustee on the Board. Did you help support Mr. Sweeney getting a seat on the CDC Board?"
Do you believe if Lancaster bordered against the City of Buffalo the ranking would be the same?

I didn't see any of the towns that don't have their own police department on the list.
Buffalo is at the bottom of the list at 182. I really don't believe the crime in Newstead, Clarence and Elma
was worse than the City of Buffalo

Third place is awesome especially considering we do have a Walmart.
