Can someone tell me where Jamaca and India are located?

I was research Kamala Harris and saw this on google and Wiki

I underlined what I thought was odd.

    Kamala Harris

If her father came from Jamaca and her mother came from India how does that make her an African American? Or is India now considered to be part of Africa?

    So I looked at wiki

    harris-wiki

    Kamala Harris Parents

Now I'm going to look up where Jamaca is and India. Maybe things have moved around since I was a child.

If protesters are pulling down statues of people who owned slaves how will they explain that her past family owned slaves?

Hamilton Brown (1776 – 18 September 1843) was a Northern Irish sugar planter and slave owner in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, which he represented in the House of Assembly of Jamaica for 22 years. He gave his name to Hamilton Town in Saint Ann Parish, now Brown's Town, which he founded.
    Nationality: Jamaica
    Died: 18 September 1843
    Born: 1776, County Antrim

Or will that be fine and fade away like the metoo movement did with Joe Biden?

Tony, where do you think the Black people in Jamaica came from? How do you think they got there?

Harris was never in Africa. How can she say she's African American? Her family owned slaves? Isn't that going to be awkward when the protestors go to the debates?

A lot actually. But her mom is from India and her father is from Jamaca. I did some research and there were tribes originally in Jamaca. That's really not the point. Why isn't she marketing herself and the first Indian candidate for VP? Doesn't market as well for an election?

IN the end the father said they may be the descendants of slave owners. Not slaves but slave owners. So when the protesters show up at the debates and demand she step down isn't that going to be awkward?

It is said that, the majority of the Jamaican population are descendants of African slaves.

People don't write their own Wikipedia pages.

From the actual Biden website on the very first line:

"The first Black and Indian American woman to represent California in the United States Senate, Kamala Harris grew up believing in the promise of America and fighting to make sure that promise is fulfilled for all Americans"

IN the end the father said they may be the descendants of slave owners. Not slaves but slave owners. So when the protesters show up at the debates and demand she step down isn't that going to be awkward?
    No, because thats stupid.

She's not marketing herself as anything. The media is reporting, alternatively, that she is Black/African-American and also that she is of Asian or Indian descent. I know that immigrants and immigration is very triggering for the contemporary right, but the vast majority of Americans don't have a problem with that. What I can tell you is that her father was a Black man from Jamaica, and the Black people in Jamaica were brought over from Africa under the British slave trade. So, if she is the daughter of a Black person it is fair to refer to her as an African-American, if one chooses, and it is certainly risible to be a whiny racialist punk about it.

IN the end the father said they may be the descendants of slave owners. Not slaves but slave owners. So when the protesters show up at the debates and demand she step down isn't that going to be awkward?
It is right-wing disinformation to simply state conclusively that she is a descendant of a slave owner, and if true, it is likely that this was the result of rape. So, do go on.
