In the recent Western New York school reopening survey, people affiliated with Lancaster Central accounted for 12.8% of responses.
Many of Lancaster’s results were similar to the region overall, but Lancaster respondents were more confident in kids returning to school – 66.7% were confident or strongly confident compared to the region’s 62.2%.
Lancaster also had a higher percentage of people who agree with reopening normally in the fall, with safety measures, and resuming full participation and audience attendance for sports and extracurriculars.
About 41.9% of Lancaster respondents would transport their own child to reduce bus loads, which is less than the regional percentage of 47.6%.
On a related note, 53.3% of Lancaster respondents are comfortable with their children riding a normal capacity bus if the bus is deep cleaned or sanitized – a significant difference from the region’s 45.3% of all respondents.
