Scott Wilson announced his candidacy on Saturday,

It may be about a year early, but a 19-year-old politician is already campaigning for the 2021 election for mayor of Buffalo.
Scott Wilson announced his candidacy on Saturday, saying he plans to oppose incumbent Mayor Byron Brown in next year's Democratic primary. Wilson released this statement: “Mayor Brown’s faulty leadership has tarnished the name of the City of Good Neighbors for far too long. In the past few weeks, I honestly believe the mayor has demonstrated his complete lack of leadership capabilities ... and lack of enthusiasm to deliver real change for the residents of Buffalo. We need a “Street Mayor,” not a mayor who continuously hides behind guarded doors in City Hall.”

I wonder what life experiences he has had that makes him think he can be Mayor of Buffalo.

Mind you all it takes is one more vote than another person to be qualified.

Who? Can you be Mayor and be under 21? Hell, some states won't let you rent a car if you're under 24.
Even as a great rock is not shaken by the wind, the wise man is not shaken by praise or by blame.

while I think Buffalo needs a new mayor, I'm not sure if a 19-20 year old is the best option
Vote for freedom, not political parties.
    Politicians need to cut spending

I give the kid credit but when does it turn into wasting someone's time? Mayor Brown's in this case.

I started my first business when I was 18. I even worked in real businesses since I was about 12 which gave me enough knowledge to run the business I started. I wouldn't say I was capable of being the Mayor of Buffalo at 19. Maybe in my mid 20's but not 19.

Erkel is in his 60’s and he’s not capable of being mayor. That said, just what Buffalo bp needs, a “Street Mayor”. Is he going to walk the east side and stop the number on black murders that absolutely dwarfs the number of police injuries caused in the course of a year.
