    DNT is back- please respond

Moving the discussion from privilege of the floor as I suggested, any comments on my response to your attempt to say that $125.00 shuttle between NYC and JFK is possible? Possible of course but factual evidence proves otherwise. Review those posts and comment on my last one before you disappeared. Here it is so folks can follow it a bit better:

Sorry DNT but the receipt is specifically from a airport shuttle service showing from downtown to JFK. Not a taxi, not a limo, not a bus, not horse carriage or anything else. As a frequent traveler I am sure you have been handed blank receipts to fill in, sometimes several blanks. I know I have had these given to me on trips to NYC.
Also, another individual town traveler has 2 receipts from the same shuttle company dated 3 days apart yet only six serial numbers apart(one for a shuttle to JFK at $105.00 and one from about 46th to 53rd st or thereabouts for about 1/3 of a mile trip at $40.00 in addition to an $80.00 cab receipt also. That would also make me wonder wouldn't you???? Pretty slow business for that shuttle company and outrageous rate to go 1/3 of a mile I would say. Or is that just a fluke also? Guess I must be a little off to want to question these items. But I guess we are off thread here and should move this issue to the topic it belongs in.
    (some info added for clarification).

Don't you think there was at least a some reasonable suspicion on the freeholders part that something was seriously wrong and should be looked at by an impartial person? Given those types of documents (which you have probably never even seen) and circumstances were they so wrong to question it???
Just wondering what your take on it would be given you accepted as fact that these circumstances and documents did exist.

Very valid point and as a tax payer you should ask.

They should gladfully hand you what ever you need to audit them if they have nothing to hide.

    DNT are you answering?

I see you are around and complaining that egsii is not answering your question, but I don't see you addressing this one. Seems to me that is a bit disingenuous.
As you are waiting, so am I.

c'mon buddy, i already answered this

In a rare moment of being civil, I said the following:

"Look I'm sure the treasurer meant well with the cheesecake issue - Honestly, I do think that at the beginning it was probably valid - but it did not pan out and I think he is being shoved out in front by the FOE as a pawn. He was able to expose sloppy administrative issues, but he did not find corruption. He just didn't, so why pursue it? To what end? What is going to come out of it in the end? The town has already corrected their errors and it will never happen again. But the fact is, there is no corruption, there is no cover-up...there was some sloppiness, and as a result, there was some waste - $3000.00 worth of waste, but that isn't corruption. Now the Waste is 10x that - $30,000 and the meter is still running"

I been to NYC many times and have paid all different amounts for my travels. Without more info, I can't say one way or another. As much as you want to think I was there, I was not!

Did several of them travel together? Did they schedule a shuttle? If more then four traveled together, should they have take seperate cabs @ $45 a ride? I don't know?

This is your little battle. Go ahead and prove it. All I'm saying is that I think you are wasting more taxpayer's money NOW then the board did then.

    Good luck storming the castle

Will that work as an answer? Are we going to have to revisit this again?

Guess you do not remember the part of the post in the other thread where I said:
When only 2 people are left in NYC to travel back (documented by copies of flight receipts), they catch an airport shuttle from downtown to JFK and one submits a receipt for the shuttle at $125.00 one way, it is paid in full without question, something is seriously wrong. Anyone ever traveling to NYC knows that a shuttle per person is about $17.00 one way and this is verifiable by going on the internet looking up the rates. A cab is $40.00-$45.00 no matter how many people are in it(see internet again). Whats' wrong with that picture????? How could that cost $125.00. There is another for these 2 same travelers arrivals at another $125.00 one way. No, there were no other Town travelers with these two, others have their own receipts at other times for taxis, etc. Like $80 for a taxi, another shuttle at different time for $105.00, or a shuttle going approximately 1/3 of a mile from I think it was 53rd to 42nd street.

Repeating your earlier response of conjecture of many traveling together does not work. Try again to explain it? Any normal person would obviously see something really wrong or seriously questionable. You sound like one of the travelers themselves trying to explain away with generalities what something that specifics rebut.

Care to try again???? I would really like to see a well reasoned approach to an excuse rather than suppositions, generalities and lame excuses you have put forward.

Given the circumstance are as I have stated them(assuming for argument that is) try again.

I'm not sure what you want me to say....

But if you'd like, I'll give you my password. You can then sign on and type what ever you want....does that work for you?

Should they have paid $125 to get to the airport? I already said it seemed high to me.

What I am talking about is the BIG PICTURE....that is something you and Eddie seem to miss every time.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly? You want the town to be accountable for the errors of being wasteful due to sloppiness. You WANT them to be accountable for corruption, but there is none. One court has already said so and the next one will do the same. You have already won. The town has been exposed for being sloppy - for not watching the store as well as it could have....right? So good, they have changed their procedures and are working more efficiently. You can't make up corruption...well maybe baby mien furor III thinks he can, but it always falls apart in the end. You will force the town to spend money defending itself at the next level, and you will waste more of the taxpayer’s money.

Considering this case is only desired by 35 people, it's a good indication that the taxpayers on a whole doesn't care about it.

I for one could care less that they took a shuttle as opposed to the subway to get to the airport. I don't care that they had guests in the rooms or had lobster dinners or drinks or cheese cake. I would expect that representatives of this town went to NYC to network and negotiate with other boards. I would hope that they would go out, socialize and get fresh ideas from other towns. So they spent $3,000. In my line of work, I often go out on the company dime to network. I do this to build strategic partnerships and generate future business. I know that in the "Pumping Gas" or "living in Daddy's basement" line of work there isn't a whole lot of opportunity to network or build business relationships (unless you count "could you check under the hood, networking. or maybe "mommy can you pass me some more pancakes" building strategic partnerships) As a low level bean counter doesn't offer many opportunities for business travel, but you guys chose those professions. Just as the board chose to serve at the pleasure of the taxpayer....which seems to have re elected them.

So waste the money of the taxpayers…I don’t really care. Just don’t whine about taxes being high, because you are part of the reason taxes are high.

I am also not obligated to answer your questions…just as cupcake isn’t obligated to source out his “evidence” on town of evans

Any reasonable mind would look at the scenario as presented to you and probably conclude a distinct possibility, a high probability in fact, of corrupt spending of taxpayer dollars. To spend an additional 28K to keep that from being exposed (since there is no penalty the court could impose on them as stated before-remember, no jail, no fine, no removal from office, only a report and a maximum of a few dollars in costs per the CPLR) would outrage me as a taxpayer. But you don't care to know if there are people in control of your money who will willingly convert some to their own use. I certainly would like to have you as a customer who didn't care if I was charged $600.00 for a transmission rebuild when all I did was throw in a little STP treatment.

Not the freeholders fault they voted to spend 28k to hide the story. That is solely their doing, they did not have to as there was no serious consequence to them personally, just an investigation. Investigation which never took place by the way so how you can conclude they did nothing wrong is a mystery to me. Not until an investigation with all evidence looked at could you possibly conclude that. The court ruled against allowing an investigation, not whether they inflated expenses etc.

It appears that you ,just as Councilman Spence, do not get it.

Bottom line, that type of error is not simple sloppiness. I personally would not want someone who would do that in charge of anything let alone a 13 Million Dollar budget.

You must be one of the travelers/related to or indebted to one. I realize it is a hopeless cause to try and convince you of anything. Your mind is made up despite not ever even having seen the documents I am speaking of and that tells me enough about you.

Logic is lost on you. Personally I think if an investigation is ever conducted and this found to be true, that the town board personally reimburse the towns' taxpayers the 28K, just as they want the freeholders to do.

DNT, answer not required, it wouldn't be based an logic anyway.

Chuck, are you telling us that you have defrauded the people of Evans out of transmission jobs by doing a little STP treatment? My God, Chuck, that is one way to run business off from your Sunoco Station in Derby. You really are the scumbag everyone says you are. I thought it was bad when you got busted selling cigarettes to minors, but really, faking maintenance to your customers and charging full price? That sounds a lot worst then putting down $125 for a n $80 ride. Seriously, how often have you been to NYC? You've never left the county. Jesus you idiots are easy. My logic is sound. You have no effing clue what you've started here. Chuck, and Eddie for that matter, This town is tired of you two and your little band of misfits. You don't get it do you? We are all laughing at you behind your backs. You are fools, clowns, Dimwits. But as a town, the #s are growing and we are quickly growing tired of you B.S tactics.

So the best example you can come up with is that the board taking a $125.00 taxi is the same as stealing money from your customers who are trusting you that you will rebuild their transmission when really you just do a little STP treatment and take the money. That is really the first example you come up with? Why is that? Is it because you did that, Is it because you do that? Is it it because you can fake mechanic work on unsuspecting customers? You are as much a parasite as Eddie is?

Evans, Chuck Militello, writing as milret seems to be admitting that he rips off the community by faking auto repairs. I for one am not going to buy gas, get repairs done there or let my 10 year old son buy cigarettes there. I would encourage you all to seriously consider the proprietor of that gas station - the Sunoco in derby - before doing business there. If you did have chuck do a transmission rebuild, I would have it checked out and then demand your money back. Chuck seems to have admitted he is a con artist.

Isn't that sad, you did all that work to get Spence elected and you thought he would be in your back pocket. If I was Spence, I would be taking giant steps to distance myself from an anti social nut job and stupid, self incriminating con artist

Evans, if you aren't paying attention, you better start, because things just got interesting.

Can the town order an investigation of the a local business that apparently rips off the community?

So no, I don’t find the town boards action that big of a deal as it has been remedied, but I do think that local businesses that take advantage of the community by stealing from them criminal.

Your guess is like your logic-faulty

What a laugh DNT. Wrong, wrong, wrong as you would say. I am not that person you named but if I was I would be seriously concerned about your mental stability. What a mouth you have. You are seriously out of control and sound like you would hit someone if they were there. But what can I say except wrong again and get out the gong.

chuckie, who do you think is reading this board, a bunch of idiots?

military retired right aren't you a big vet of some sort MILitary RETired.

Ok chuck, it's funny that there is some other person who is retired military and rips off customers on transmission jobs and is so intimately involved in the town board scandal who is not Chuck Militello. Who could that be?

Uhmmmm chuck, the people in this town are not the dummies you think they are.

But keep going, I still say boycott chuck's transmission rip off shack. The treasurer is a bean counter who doesn't run a transmission shop. Eddie lives in his daddy's basement and installs memory chips for a living, so it's not him. who's left chuckie. Oh milret is that guy bob who owns a gas station that just recently got involved. ok got you. Wink wink, it’s not Chuck militello, it’s that other out spoken political failure gas station owner…Bob

Wow. People sure are cheep about cab rides. And who the hell wants a bunch of kids running around a crappy boat launch. At least at the Marina they can stay on their parents boats and not cause even more congestion for the people who cant back up a trailer anyway.

Is there any substantial amount of money missing? 85.00 cheesecakes and 125.00 shuttle rides are hardly corruption if that's the only thing that you can find on the Town.
The county treasury was raided by those whom we entrusted in it. We're talking about millions, here and it seems to have been forgotton. Stolen!
Millions of your money by organized, but legitimized criminals.
How about the Federal treasury. You want to talk about corruption?

    lets see....

As I understand it, it is $3,000.00 of WASTE. I say waste because it is the result of sloppiness. It is not corruption. Now, the $30,000.00 (10x the actual infraction) was produced by the group trying to "get" the board. They expect the board to just roll over and not defend themselves. If I were a member of the board, I would expect to rack up legal bills defending myself. I'm sorry, but if there is a charge against a town board, it is an absolute responsibility of the board to look into the legal issues and defend themselves. The FOEs think it should cost nothing.

If that is the case milret, why are you looking for legal council now. What is that going to cost you if you can't get it for free (as you desire) and Then, How much are your collective 35 willing to put up? All of this, to prove your point that $3,000.00 was wasted. Evans already knows that $3,000.00 was wasted as a result of bad procedures. Those procedures have already been changed and as a result, this issue will not happen again in the future. Why do we have to continue this poorly disguised personal vendetta? the foes are making us pick up the tab. I say enough

It's a witch hunt based on a few peoples personal dislike for some members of the board. As a result the whole of the tax paying base in evans will have to pay.

What about it Evans? Doesn't that make you mad? That a very small few are wasting our resources for some personal agenda? Obviously, I'm mad! Now it's your turn. Send a clear message to Milret, Egsiii, allgirl4bd and the rest of the 35 and tell them to knock it off. of the few, by the few, for the few!
