First person I knew that passed away from Covid.

Lost to Covid-19: A tax preparer who loved to bowl and golf

True to his roots, Ronald Wagner loved the Sabres, the Bills, the Buffalo Bandits, and he loved to bowl. He died around 5 a.m. on Easter Sunday at age 70.

Many of you know it's been a tough couple of years for the Wagner family and I'd like to share a bit of what we've been through. In February of 2018, my mother-in-law, Amy Ann had a concerning high fever and was taken to Sister's Hospital under the thought she had the flu. She was soon transferred to the Mercy Hospital ICU and within days was in a coma, which lasted 3 months. When she went into the hospital, I was 17 weeks pregnant with Joe and I's first child. In March 2018, her husband, Ron broke his ankle after falling on his way to visit her. He had surgery and spent months in rehab to recover.
