According to the poll, six Democratic presidential contenders would beat President Trump by a substantial margin in New York. But most NY residents believe Trump will be re-elected

How would they know this until they know who the Democratic candidate for 2020 is?

Seriously if it's Bernie every local town board member including the ecdems.com have to decide who's best interest they represent. I know politics is about control of the elected seats but enough is enough.

I knew it was enough when the Democratic candidates were asked if people here illegally should have free healthcare. Everyone on the debate state raised their hands and Bernie couldn't get his hand up fast enough.

You left out some critical words. Now that it looks like Sanders, I really am curious how union states are going to vote. Here is the Sanders health care plan.

    • Create a Medicare for All, single-payer, national health insurance program to provide everyone in America with comprehensive health care coverage, free at the point of service.
    • No networks, no premiums, no deductibles, no copays, no surprise bills.
    • Medicare coverage will be expanded and improved to include: include dental, hearing, vision, and home- and community-based long-term care, in-patient and out-patient services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, reproductive and maternity care, prescription drugs, and more.
    • Stop the pharmaceutical industry from ripping off the American people by making sure that no one in America pays over $200 a year for the medicine they need by capping what Americans pay for prescription drugs under Medicare for All.

This plan would mean that every union plan health care plan would be eliminated. All of those prime plans for cops, teachers, and other public and private sector unions would be gone. Would not even be possible because all of the insurance companies would be killed in this plan. You don't have BCBS when you have 'national health insurance program'. So these people and their families would need to make a choice between a Twitter Trump or their healthcare. Not only would their plans go away, but what it is replaced with would be worse coverage and their taxes would go up to pay for it.

That's before you get to how much Sanders is going to f*ck up the economy. Just remember folks, New York State is on the hook for those public sector pensions. 75% of those benefits come from investment earnings. Just how well do you think those investments are going to do if this idiot were to get his plan to put employees on every board of every corporation?

But never doubt the stupidity of a New Yorker.....so I could see them still voting for Sanders.

Which #Democrat wins NYS has nothing to do with their yet defined agenda or platform: "New York has not voted for a Republican since Ronald Reagan in 1984"

Due to the number of tax funded state, City, Town and county employees #Democrats dominate almost every election ! So its no great deal to predict some Dem candidate could beat President Trump>

This year though - their getting nervous because so many Union workers dont want to be Democrat Socialists ! Cant wait to see how they deal with that - or will young uniformed collage aged students make up for that loss ?

Its gonna be interesting to hear how they dance around the Socialist issue !
#Dems play musical chairs + patronage and nepotism = entitlement !

And that's my point. Is Jeremy going to seriously back Bernie along with every card carrying democratic town board member? Bernie bumper stickers on their cars including lawn signs "Bernie 2020" ?

Bernie Sanders reveals 'major plans' to be funded by new taxes, massive lawsuits, military cuts

Bernie Sanders unexpectedly released a fact-sheet Monday night explaining that he'd pay for his sweeping new government programs through new taxes and massive lawsuits, as well as by slashing spending on the military, among other methods.

The move sought to head off complaints from Republicans and some rival Democrats that his plans were economically unrealistic, especially after a head-turning CBS News interview in which the frustrated Vermont senator said he couldn't "rattle off to you every nickle and every dime" about his proposed expenditures.

Clinton signals she’d support former rival Sanders if he’s nominated

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton signaled on Tuesday that she ultimately would back former rival Bernie Sanders if he won the 2020 Democratic nomination -- despite having recently said that “nobody wants to work with him.”

"I'm going to wait and see who we nominate," she said at the Berlinale film festival in Germany. "I will support the nominee, and it won't surprise you to hear me say that I think that it's imperative that we retire the incumbent."

They are just opportunists. Hillary just won't go away.
