According to the poll, six Democratic presidential contenders would beat President Trump by a substantial margin in New York.
You left out some critical words. Now that it looks like Sanders, I really am curious how union states are going to vote. Here is the Sanders health care plan.
- Create a Medicare for All, single-payer, national health insurance program to provide everyone in America with comprehensive health care coverage, free at the point of service.
- No networks, no premiums, no deductibles, no copays, no surprise bills.
- Medicare coverage will be expanded and improved to include: include dental, hearing, vision, and home- and community-based long-term care, in-patient and out-patient services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, reproductive and maternity care, prescription drugs, and more.
- Stop the pharmaceutical industry from ripping off the American people by making sure that no one in America pays over $200 a year for the medicine they need by capping what Americans pay for prescription drugs under Medicare for All.
This plan would mean that every union plan health care plan would be eliminated. All of those prime plans for cops, teachers, and other public and private sector unions would be gone. Would not even be possible because all of the insurance companies would be killed in this plan. You don't have BCBS when you have 'national health insurance program'. So these people and their families would need to make a choice between a Twitter Trump or their healthcare. Not only would their plans go away, but what it is replaced with would be worse coverage and their taxes would go up to pay for it.
That's before you get to how much Sanders is going to f*ck up the economy. Just remember folks, New York State is on the hook for those public sector pensions. 75% of those benefits come from investment earnings. Just how well do you think those investments are going to do if this idiot were to get his plan to put employees on every board of every corporation?
But never doubt the stupidity of a New Yorker.....so I could see them still voting for Sanders.
