    Tonight’s Lancaster’s scheduled meetings

    Tonight’s Lancaster’s scheduled meetings

Tonight the Town of Lancaster, the Village of Lancaster, the Village of Depew and the Lancaster Central School District are all holding meetings tonight.

Hopefully, you were aware of the change in the scheduled 2/17/2020 Lancaster Town Board meeting to tonight. Changed because Supervisor Ruffino is going on vacation next week.

First time I have ever seen a Lancaster Town Board meeting schedule changed because of board member’s absence. Why didn’t Supervisor Ruffino mention this at last week’s meeting? Why is his Deputy Supervisor not sitting in for him? What is of such importance that he needs to be present?

Why at the 11th hour are some residents still in the dark about this change? Why didn’t the other board members make this know? Where and when was the notice posted? If it was in the Lancaster Bee, many residents do not subscribe to the Bee.

What I anticipate to be Ruffino's response: “I’m new at that, I’m learning the system, I’ll get it right.”

She is new and she is learning too?

The "Nerds Gone Wild" may be in the gallery?

A disgraceful lack of communication which makes me raise an eyebrow.

The meeting for tonight has been on the website's calendar for quite awhile.
I just thought everyone else had seen it.

It was also in the 1/21/20 Communications packet

Also to the resident who questioned the Highway superintendent's stipend

I informally learned of the change late Saturday.

I suspect that a more high profile announcement from the candidate who has always been "for the people" is an excessive expectation, so I guess it is my bad.

    Thanks for the posting Gorja.

So I guess when I posted an agenda item on Friday regarding the ZBA, it didn't give you any hint that the meeting was on Monday?
You should subscribe to the town newsletter and Diane will get the agendas emailed to you

I was curious about that exact same observation Ms. Gorja, but what do I know?

I thought that the President's Day holiday may have impacted it, but that really did not make much sense to me. As I say, my bad, but hey, "I'm new at this; I'll get it right."

As far as the agendas, I can pick them up at the Town Clerk's Office; they need not mail them.

I wonder if any of the town board members will be attending the NYS Association of Towns meeting the week of February 16 via paying their own way
