Iowa Dem party blames caucus fiasco

Iowa Dem party blames caucus fiasco on ‘coding issue,’ vows to release results ‘as soon as possible’

DES MOINES, Iowa – The morning after a technical meltdown delayed the reporting of the Iowa caucus results – causing chaos in the political world -- the Iowa Democratic Party blamed the debacle on a “coding issue” in its reporting app and pledged to release the caucus results “as soon as possible.”

The party -- under the gun and facing the possibility that Iowa could lose its cherished half-century hold spot kicking off the presidential primary and caucus nominating calendar -- stressed Tuesday morning that the debacle “did not impact the ability of precinct chairs to report data accurately.” They claimed to have now fixed the issue.

    'This is a clown show'

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer roasted after accidentally adding to Iowa Caucus chaos: 'This is a clown show'

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer inadvertently contributed to the unprecedented delay in official vote totals from the critical Iowa Caucuses because he wanted to listen in on a precinct captain’s phone call with the Iowa Democratic Party.

Blitzer was conducting a live phone interview with Story County precinct captain Shawn Sebastian, who told the CNN anchor that he had been on hold “for over an hour with the Iowa Democratic party” to figure out what to do amid the chaos of an election app that malfunctioned.

It’s not just Iowa: Entire Democratic race looking like giant dumpster fire

Has anyone checked to see if Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez is still breathing?

Let’s face it: Post-Iowa, his party is in free fall. It’s not clear any of their presidential candidates have mapped out a realistic way to the nomination, let alone to beating President Trump in the general election.

On top of that, a 5’7” multibillionaire businessman named Michael Bloomberg is sucking up a shocking level of support despite having entered the race in the 11th hour.
