Illegal immigrants to be able to get driver’s licenses in NY after legal challenge fails

Illegal immigrants in New York will able to obtain driver’s licenses starting next week after a last-minute legal challenge was dismissed -- making it the 13th state to allow the practice, but one that critics say is unconstitutional.
The Green Light Law, signed by Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo earlier this year, allows anyone to apply for a driver’s license regardless of immigration status and does not require a Social Security number.

So how does one get the town board to do an "official" vote on whether they support this or not? Just like they did about a business who had employees that wanted to unionize or what ever what going on. I believe recently there was a show of support or not for the Cuomo bail law changes... etc...

We have a DMV in town and now we know Dan can stream the meeting if needed. Good job on that.


Our town board are all members of the Democratic Party. You know the party that doesn't want our southern border secured. Now if Nancy Pelosi insists no one is above the law wouldn't this count for people illegally here in the USA?

I think it is as simple as someone on the board has to bring it up, someone else has to 2nd it, then it gets put on the agenda giving credit to the sponsors of such declaration.

But if no one on the board wants to bring it up more or less second it, it won't happen. Correct?
