Thanks to the shoe shine rag we learned today that, other than a very few select neighborhoods, the much ballyhooed rebirth of real estate in Buffalo is smoke. That real estate prices have gone up proves nothing in and of itself as most of the experts quoted in the article point out. The rot continues and eventually the rot will win out. Sixty million $$$ for east side improvements? The usual Democratic Totalitarians are already taking numbers to get their pockets lined! And the residents who are supposed to be helped will pick up the tab as usual. And, as the article further points out, all the bleating about the effects of “gentrification” is nothing but horse****.

Buffalo reassessed: Uneven growth belies citywide renaissance
https://buffalonews.com/2019/12/08/n...neighborhoods/The new assessments suggest three separate, divergent stories have played out in Buffalo: steady growth in wealthy, well-established neighborhoods; dramatic spikes in adjoining areas; and little net appreciation on large tracts of the East Side, particularly the far East Side along the border with Cheektowaga.
